“It’s over 100 degrees outside, and we are staying cool in our Caldera® spa.”

With the CoolZone™ hot tub cooling system, your Caldera® spa can both heat and cool the water – something that is not possible in most hot tubs. This easy-to-use innovation expands your hot tub use, so you and your family can enjoy hot tubbing more, all year long.

Looking for an alternative to a pool for the kids, or athletes interested in cold therapy? With the CoolZone Option, you can now have a way to cool down your spa to the desired temperature setting regardless of the ambient temperature. Now you don’t have to choose between having a hot tub or a cool tub; You can have the best of both worlds!

How it Works

The CoolZone system operates like a heat pump system, similar to an air conditioning unit you may already have in your home. When cooling, the CoolZone system “pumps” heat out of the spa water and into the surrounding air, and when heating, it “pumps” heat from the air into the water. The System consists of three separate components: a heat exchanger & safety relay (located inside the Spa) and a heat pump condenser (located outside the Spa).

Benefits & Wellness

CoolZone and cold water offers amazing therapeutic benefits. Because you can chill the water to as low as 60 degrees, you can take a cold soak that helps muscle recovery. Just as athletes use ice baths, the cold water reduces swelling caused by a workout. When you leave the water, the muscles warm back up, bringing oxygenated blood back in to help muscles recover.Later, the CoolZone system can raise the spa water temperature to provide the benefits of warm water immersion, removing toxins, bringing more oxygenated blood to tissues, and increasing flexibility.

Efficiency & Flexibility

The CoolZone system, which uses heat pump technology, is up to 3 times more efficient**** than traditional spa (electric resistance) heaters. The CoolZone system can help reduce monthly operating costs by heating the water and maintaining the set temperature more efficiently than a standard heater alone. With five CoolZone modes to choose from, you’ll have the right temperature all the time.
